The brand is known to foster self-improvement and invests heavily in its online shopping experience. This may be one of the reasons it has fared so well during the pandemic.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Costco<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Costco Wholesale is worth $28.7 billion, which is a hefty increase of 35% over 2019. This American giant benefitted from consumers stocking up for pandemic quarantines.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Amazon<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>If Amazon wasn&#8217;t already considered the pinnacle of retail success, its 32% increase in value over 2019 would certainly put it there. Amazon is worth $415.9 billion. Covid-19 shutdowns forced most people to stay at home, therefore more have been shopping and looking for entertainment online.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Target<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Target is opening more stores, adding to its growing list of in-house brands, and has introduced a same day pickup service for online orders. The retailer is worth $10.6 billion and has increased in value 27% over 2019.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Walmart<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Walmart has seen a 24% increase in value over 2019, and is now worth $45.8 billion.&nbsp; &nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>JD.com<\/strong> is worth $35.5 billion, an increase of 24% over 2019.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Sam&#8217;s Club<\/strong> also saw shoppers stock up for quarantine lockdowns. The company is worth $6.8 billion, which is a 19% increase.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Alibaba<\/strong> is worth $152.5 billion and up 16% over 2019.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Flipkart<\/strong> is worth $4.7 billion, which is a 14% increase.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Biggest Losers<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li><strong>Under Armour<\/strong> is worth $2.6 billion and is down 34%<\/li><li><strong>H&amp;M<\/strong> is worth $4.7 billion and is down 27%.<\/li><li><strong>Walgreens<\/strong> is worth $6.8 billion and is down 26%.<\/li><li><strong>Tim Hortons<\/strong> is worth $5.4 billion and is down 20%.<\/li><li><strong>Subway<\/strong> is worth $13.8 billion and is down 20%.<\/li><li><strong>Burberry<\/strong> is worth $3.8 billion and is down 18%.<\/li><li><strong>M&amp;S<\/strong> is worth $2.5 billion and is down 18%.<\/li><li><strong>Uniqlo<\/strong> is worth $8.2 billion and is down 16%.<\/li><li><strong>Dunkin&#8217;<\/strong> is worth $2.4 billion and is down 15%.<\/li><li><strong>The North Face<\/strong> is worth $2.4 billion and is down 14%.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The COVID-19 pandemic has demolished retail sales, which has already caused some retailers to file bankruptcy.
