Facebook UK staffers are in for a big treat. The company will pay\u00a0\u00a3280 million ($396 million) to its UK-based staff over the next three years to\u00a0offset the amount of tax it has to pay to the UK Treasury.<\/p>\n

Each employee is set to receive\u00a0\u00a3775,000 ($1.1 million), which Facebook will list as a taxable expense.<\/p>\n

News of the big bonuses was revealed by\u00a0The Sunday Times<\/a>. The bonuses arrive just days after Facebook said it was restructuring its business for UK tax purposes.<\/p>\n

The company has promised to “provide transparency to Facebook’s operations in the UK.”<\/p>\n

Facebook will no longer divert profits through Ireland, where corporate tax is lower.<\/p>\n
